1. Categorize patients into 3 categories

• Need to treat or assess or discharge
  • Ie. for discharge – performing balance and/or stairs assessments
• Can wait a day or 2 to treat or assess
  • Will not deteriorate without being seen that day
• Is independant or is able to use a PTA to continue treatment. 

2. Are there strategies to improve efficiency without decreasing the quality of treatment? (ie. include PTA’s, plan to see patients in the same hospital ward)

• Make sure that you can see patients on the same ward level if they are there and need to be prioritized. 
• Come in early to prioritize your day and organize yourself
• Talk to a supervisor if you need extra support for your caseload. 
• Take care of yourself, find ways in the day to help with your mental health, you have to take care of yourself to help others.
