Employment and working conditions

• Since they are unable to walk it could affect their job status. If they are not able to do their job while injured this could result in modified hours or having to take time off. 

Social supports and coping skills

• Having a traumatic brain injury can leave some lingering symptoms. A concussion after a traumatic brain injury is common. Gene is experiencing these symptoms which may leave her feeling quite frustrated. It is important to consider how she is feeling and to try and modify treatment to help improve her symptoms. A potential referral to a social worker may be beneficial to help her navigate her current life situation.
